Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Codexy Software SRL collects through adfilter.pro and the AdFilter.pro apps and browser extension, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.

  • We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or ad trackers.
  • Filtering happens on your device. We never receive the sites you visit or the content you see.
  • The apps send a few anonymous usage statistics so we know how many people use them, and nothing else.

Who we are

Codexy Software SRL (“Codexy”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described here. We are based in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. You can reach us about privacy at office@codexy-software.com.

This website

adfilter.pro sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers; everything it needs is served from our own host.

Like any web server, our hosting provider receives technical data with each request (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time) so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We use these logs only for security and troubleshooting and keep them for no longer than 30 days.

The AdFilter.pro apps

Filtering stays on your device

AdFilter.pro checks the names of the servers your apps connect to against block lists stored on your device. In Advanced mode it also processes supported web pages on your device to remove ads. None of this is sent to us: we don’t receive, log or store the domains you visit, your browsing history, or page content.

Advanced mode uses a security certificate generated on your device. Its private key never leaves your device.

Anonymous usage statistics

To understand how many people use AdFilter.pro and whether it works, the apps send a small number of events to Google Analytics, which processes them on our behalf:

  • a random install ID created when the app is first started (not linked to your name, account or device identifiers);
  • the platform (Windows or Android), app version and, on Windows, the operating-system version;
  • when the app is opened or closed and when protection is switched on or off;
  • on Windows, an hourly summary of how many requests were checked and how many were blocked, and how long the app has been running. These are totals only, never which sites.

We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the product. You can object at any time by writing to office@codexy-software.com.

Updates

The apps contact our update server to check for new versions and to download refreshed block lists. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to the server. We use these logs only to run the service and keep them for no longer than 30 days.

The browser extension

The AdFilter browser extension runs entirely inside your browser. It reads pages only to hide ads on them and does not send any data to us or anyone else.

Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract (hosting, email and the services named above), and with authorities when the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the Republic of Moldova; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to office@codexy-software.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova, or, if you live in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

Security

We keep the data we hold to a minimum and protect it with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

Our websites and products are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell you before it takes effect.
