AdFilter.pro runs a local VPN-style filter on your device. When any app tries to reach a known ad, tracker or malware domain, the connection goes nowhere. There is no remote server in the middle.

Questions, Answered
Is AdFilter.pro really free?
Yes. There’s no account, no trial and no ads of our own. If we add paid features later we’ll say so clearly, and nothing will ever be charged without your agreement.
Can AdFilter.pro see what I browse?
Filtering happens entirely on your device. Your browsing history and the sites you visit never leave it, and we don’t collect them. The app sends a few anonymous usage statistics (such as app version and whether protection is on) so we know how many people use it. Details are in our privacy policy.
Why does Advanced mode install a certificate?
Most sites use encrypted connections. To remove video ads and page clutter, AdFilter.pro has to read those pages on your device, which needs a certificate your device trusts. It is generated on your device and never leaves it. Banks, payment providers, health and government sites are always passed through untouched.
Does it block ads in the YouTube, Facebook or Instagram apps?
No, and nothing system-wide can. Those apps serve ads from the same servers as the content, over connections that can’t be inspected. AdFilter.pro blocks their trackers, and removes YouTube ads when you watch in a browser with Advanced mode on.
Can I use it alongside a VPN?
On Android, only one VPN-type app can run at a time, so AdFilter.pro can’t run alongside another VPN. ElsewhereVPN, our upcoming VPN, includes AdFilter’s blocking so you won’t have to choose.
A site isn’t working properly. What do I do?
Click the shield to pause protection and reload the page. On Windows you can also switch Advanced mode off for just that site. Then tell us at support@adfilter.pro so we can fix it for everyone.
